FAQ
Is this the original DOOM?
No — it is a complete, free re-creation in the same genre and engine family. The rules, speed and feel are deliberately classic, but every sprite, sound and map comes from the open-source Freedoom project. It is not affiliated with id Software.
Why does the first load take a moment?
The full game (36 levels, all weapons and monsters) is about 10 MB compressed. It downloads once, unpacks in your browser, and then runs entirely on your machine — after that it is cached and offline-friendly.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, with on-screen controls — but a keyboard and mouse give the real experience. If you have a laptop or desktop, use it.
